Job Title: Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM)

Location: Jacksonville, FL (Travel throughout the Southeastern U.S. required)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $110,000 – $120,000

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) to join our team and oversee quality assurance on federal government construction projects . The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of proven experience managing QC programs for large-scale federal contracts, ensuring compliance with government regulations, contract specifications, and safety standards. This role is based in Jacksonville, FL, with regular travel across the Southeastern United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement the project-specific Quality Control Plan (QCP) in compliance with USACE and NAVFAC requirements.
  • Ensure strict adherence to EM 385-1-1 safety standards , project drawings, and specifications.
  • Conduct daily QC inspections , including preparatory, initial, and follow-up phases.
  • Maintain QC documentation including submittal logs, testing reports, deficiency tracking, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and government representatives to resolve issues and maintain high standards.
  • Train and mentor site staff on quality control processes and best practices.
  • Oversee third-party testing agencies, ensuring results are logged and communicated effectively.
  • Report directly to the Project Manager and government officials, maintaining a proactive approach to compliance and safety.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing Quality Control on federal government construction projects (USACE, NAVFAC, DoD preferred).
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Southeastern U.S.
  • Certifications Required:
  • USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQMC)
  • EM 385-1-1 Site Safety & Health requirements
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred; equivalent experience considered).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and maintain a proactive QC culture.
