Job Description

This opportunity reports into the Chief Marketing Officer. The primary responsibility of the Executive Director is to supervise, day-to-day, the North American, UK, LATAM and other PR agencies for Atlantis, Paradise Island and to develop and implement overall communications strategy with both the in-house and exterior teams. The Director is also responsible for collaborating with the CMO on the PR strategy for the North American market as it relates to branding, visibility and ROI, both in established feeder markets and in developing markets. The Executive Director will be responsible for working with Brand Communications and Digital Marketing to strategize relevant marketing partnerships and will also be responsible for the operational aspects of the execution. The Executive Director should demonstrate the ability to answer all consumer PR questions immediately and unaided. Executive Director will develop and support implementation of a successful multi-platform Social Media presence/campaign, reputation management and growth of audiences. Direct reports into this position include: Manager, Public Relations and Reputation Management, Manager, Social Media and potentially, other supporting positions. This position is also responsible for supporting CMO on any and all partnership opportunities including, but not limited to on property executions, content partnerships, entertainment partnerships, brand partnerships and pop up retail.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and counsel to agency and in-house PR teams
• Manage the execution of partnership programs as well as assume direct responsibility for quality implementation
• Continue to develop relationships with media, influencers, and pitch clients on an ongoing basis
• Anticipate agency strategic needs, both long and short term
• Plan, organize and support partnership execution meetings
• Nurture relationships with marketing and on island operations team
• Supervise agency staff in their daily activities, provide structure and instruction for balancing their workloads
• Motivate/mentor junior staff and agencies
• Actively participate in and guide the successful operations and future course of Atlantis PR strategies

Position Requirements:

• BA/BS Degree in Public Relations, Communications, or related field
• 15+ years experience in public relations, partnership marketing and social media
• Agency and Travel experience is a must
• Ability to prioritize while simultaneously working on numerous projects
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail oriented and results oriented
• Ability to spot trends and integrate into PR efforts to keep accounts current in the media
