Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a 6+ months contract with a client located in Tempe AZ
Pay Range: $70/hr. - $80/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to support a special project focused on knowledge transfer between multiple production locations. This role is critical in coordinating cross-functional teams, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring seamless implementation of existing products across sites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate multi-site cross-functional teams to implement products at primary, secondary, or dual-source locations.
• Review and manage tooling between sites.
• Develop manufacturing methods and sequences for moderately complex products and assemblies.
• Ensure compliance with customer quality requirements.
• Document hidden factory processes and create clear work instructions.
• Support root cause and corrective action initiatives.
• Collaborate across quality, design, and test engineering teams.
Must Have:
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Technology, Sciences, or Mathematics).
• 2–5 years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
• Experience in Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience with aluminum and steel sheet metal welding in aerospace.
• Knowledge of brazed heat exchanger core assemblies.
