Job Summary

The Care Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and efficient care throughout their healthcare journey. This position involves working closely with patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff to facilitate communication, manage appointments, and support the overall patient experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and have experience in medical or dental office settings.

Duties

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information regarding services and procedures.
  • Coordinate patient appointments, ensuring timely scheduling and follow-up communications.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to streamline care processes and enhance patient outcomes.
  • Assist in managing insurance verification and authorizations as needed.
  • Provide administrative support within the medical or dental office, including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions.

Skills

  • Proficiency in medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Experience in a medical office or dental office environment is highly desirable.
