Job Description

Kane Partners has partnered with a trusted leader in hazardous waste management and environmental remediation, delivering high-impact solutions that protect people, communities, and the planet. Our mission is clear: to provide safe, compliant, and cost-effective services that make a difference.

We’re growing — and we’re looking for a Director of Operations to lead our California division. If you thrive in fast-paced, high-responsibility environments and have a deep knowledge of environmental regulations and field operations, this is the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

What You'll Do

As Director of Operations, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of all hazardous waste and remediation projects in the region. You’ll manage people, projects, compliance, and profitability — while building a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead all operational activities for hazardous waste, site remediation, and emergency response projects.

· Oversee project performance, budgets, and resource planning to meet financial goals.

· Visit job sites to support field staff and enforce safety, quality, and client satisfaction standards.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies.

· Support the sales team with technical expertise and participate in strategic planning.

· Recruit, train, and mentor operational staff, promoting a high-performing and safety-focused team culture.

· Collaborate with our East Coast division to align operations and share resources as needed.

· Travel to our Pennsylvania headquarters 5–8 times per year for leadership meetings and training.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

· 7+ years of experience in hazardous waste management, site remediation, or environmental field services.

· Proven leadership experience managing multi-site environmental projects and teams.

· In-depth knowledge of environmental compliance and safety regulations.

· Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

· Experience in large-scale environmental cleanups
