Description of the Role As an Automotive Dealership Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our dealership. Your main responsibility will be overseeing the accounting and financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance. You will work closely with the executive team to analyze financial data, develop budgets, and implement strategies to maximize profitability. Responsibilities

  • Manage the accounting department and supervise a team of skilled professionals
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts
  • Ensure all accounting schedules are reviewed and properly maintained monthly
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard the company's assets
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Manage cash flows, budgeting, and financial planning
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations
  • Coordinate with external auditors for year-end audits
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Automotive Dealership Controller or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of dealership accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • CDK software experience
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
