Job Description

The S.T. Hudson Engineers team is growing and we are looking for a Vessel Captain to support our hydrographic and geophysical surveying projects.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a safe work site through following HSEQ requirements and leading by example.
• Operation of nearshore marine survey vessels for hydrographic and geophysical data acquisition.
• Complete regular inspection, repair, and maintenance on vessel systems.
• Ability to work in the field and in the warehouse / shop.
• Perform other vessel and survey related field duties as required.
• Communicate with the field team and Vessel Manger.
• Mentor others.

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must reside in the U.S.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willing to travel to projects and perform field work on marine vessels.
• Physical ability to work on a marine survey vessel including lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
• USCG National OUPV or Master up to 100 Tons (achieved or in progress) preferred but not required.
