Join Sandri as a Full-Time Staff Accountant!

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team at Sandri, a family-owned business with a proud local legacy. This is an in-office role based in Greenfield, MA , requiring regular and reliable commuting to our main office.

Key Responsibilities

As a Staff Accountant at Sandri, you will:

  • Prepare and reconcile monthly general ledger accounts; maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts.
  • Prepare and post adjusting journal entries based on reconciliations.
  • Manage monthly inventory reconciliations and depreciation schedules, including fixed asset transactions.
  • Compile timely and accurate financial and management reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and budget variance analysis across multiple FEINs.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including consolidated financial statements and audits.
  • Assist with tax work papers for corporate tax returns and related documentation.
  • Review financial statements and budgets to investigate variances.
  • Support accounting staff with ledger codes and resolve related questions.
  • Approve EFT payments and project daily/monthly cash flows.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • Education: A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Accounting (Bachelor’s degree preferred). Significant relevant experience (5+ years in an Accounting role for a C-Corp) may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP; experience with fixed asset and federal tax depreciation preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and investigate variances.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including V-lookups and pivot tables.
