LT Foods Americas (LTFA) is part of LT Foods Limited, an emerging global food company, with net sales in excess of $1 billion globally, operating across a range of categories including specialty rice, organic foods and convenience rice-based products. The Company is engaged in milling, processing and marketing of branded and non-branded basmati rice, and manufacturing of rice food products in India & international market. LT Foods has a global presence including India, Middle East, United Kingdom, Europe and United States. Its operations include contract farming, procurement, storage, processing, packaging and distribution. Its rice product portfolio comprises brown, white, steamed, parboiled, organic, quick cooking brown rice, and ready-to-heat rice. The Company's brands include DAAWAT®, ROYAL®; 817 ELEPHANT®, INDUS VALLEY®, ECOLIFE® & GRAPEOLA®.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve budgeted sales and profit objectives, while leading all sales/promotional activity for Walmart, Target and Meijer
  • Lead quarterly/annual customer sales planning
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships with buyers, replenishment teams, brokers and marketing partners
  • Develop and implement sales strategies, new-item initiatives, and customer specific sales plans to achieve revenue and distribution goals
  • Expand product distribution by utilizing a full range of data sources to prepare and conduct effective presentations
  • Create sales presentations based off fact-based business solutions (category management, consumer insight, industry trends, etc.)
  • Understand the philosophy, objectives, priority SKUs, selling points, competitive advantages, merchandising standards, and tools available to help sell our brands and products
  • Understand and utilize syndicated data to identify sales opportunities and to use in sales presentations
  • Achieve new item launch goals
  • Work in a cross-functional team environment to ensure that timeliness of sales and delivery of products to customers are met
  • Attend regional and national trade shows to present our products and represent the brand
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of products and industry trends
  • Report customer updates on a weekly basis and sales performance monthly
  • Manage travel and other miscellaneous expenses as budgeted, submitting expense reports in timely manner

SALES AGENCY MANAGEMENT:

  • Responsible for all Sales Agency management, communication, and support for your assigned customers
  • Set sales goals for each sales agency on monthly basis and evaluate performance at the end of each month
  • Educate, motivate, and lead the sales agency sales force in assigned region
  • Convey company directives, objectives, and philosophies
  • Have strong knowledge of go-to-market networks – direct & distributor
  • Work with sales agency team in training sessions, store sets/resets, sales calls, and shows
  • Educate sales agency team on the selling points of our products and how to most effectively merchandise the products
  • Conduct regular field visits with sales agency sales representatives.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly business and performance reviews with our sales agencies (ensuring all trade funds yield the highest ROI) and report to VP of Sales

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 10 years of food sales and sales management experience in CPG environment
  • Ability to prospect, develop, make presentations, and close sales
  • High degree of experience in sales planning, forecasting, and managing a sales agency network
  • Experience in customer relationship management
  • High-energy sales rock-star who challenges the status quo, offers innovative ideas and implements process improvements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Self-starter who can accomplish tasks without supervision
  • Collaborative team player
  • Outstanding organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, including the ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience utilizing data analytics (i.e. Nielsen, Circana, Retail Link) to conduct presentations
  • College degree required
  • Travel approximately 25%
  • Role is remote
  • Preferred location: Northwest Arkansas
