Job Description

Site Superintendent About the Job

Do you feel called to build better? Are you ready to take ownership of your future—and help build OUR collective future? Are you a seasoned site leader who thrives on solving problems in real time and driving projects forward with precision, collaboration, and care? If so, we want to talk with you.

Threshold Builds is an architect-led design-build firm dedicated to delivering thoughtful buildings, experiences, and relationships through an integrated team—in service of life. We create architecturally bold spaces that are efficient, durable, healthy, and regenerative to both people and planet.

We're growing—and seeking a Site Superintendent who can take the lead on-site, ensure field operations are smooth and successful, and contribute to our mission of building meaningful, lasting work.

Why Join Us?

If you've run jobs in the field and thought, there has to be a better way to build, or if you want to be part of a company where craft and sustainability aren’t buzzwords but actual practices, this is your opportunity.

You'll join a team that values transparency, ownership, and the courage to innovate—and that believes the superintendent isn't just managing the jobsite, but shaping the future of how we build.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead all on-site construction activities from start to finish
  • Ensure adherence to design intent, schedule, safety, and quality standards
  • Manage site crews, subcontractors, and daily field operations
  • Assist in managing project budgets, monitoring expenses, and ensuring that costs stay within allocated limits.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, and trades to troubleshoot and resolve issues in real time
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite
  • Conduct regular site meetings, track progress, and report on daily/weekly job status
  • Help refine our field processes and contribute to our growing operational systems
  • Be a core voice in turning design into reality—helping to deliver efficient, beautiful, and sustainable buildings
What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience as a superintendent or lead carpenter on high-quality residential or light commercial projects
  • Deep understanding of construction means and methods, job sequencing, and field logistics
  • Strong leadership and communication skills—you’re confident directing a team and coordinating with stakeholders
  • A passion for craftsmanship in building efficient and sustainable buildings.
  • A collaborative, solution-focused attitude
  • Experience with missing middle or multifamily construction a big plus
  • Tech literacy (ACC builds, Procore, Buildertrend, or similar platforms) a plus
What We Offer

  • Integrated Project Design: Work alongside architects and designers from day one
  • Meaningful Projects: From community centers to housing, restaurants to music venues
  • Benefits Package: Health insurance, paid time off, retirement contributions, and more
  • Growth Opportunity: As we grow, you grow—into leadership, partnership, or beyond

If you’re ready to build something that matters—with a team that shares your values and vision—we’d love to hear from you.

Together, let’s Build. Good. Life.
