Job Description

Summary :

Following established company procedures to ensure shipping and receiving functions are conducted in a safe, timely and detailed manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following . Other duties may be assigned.

1) Based on the information supplied by the Supply Chain Manager and available documents, verify the compliance of the incoming goods as ordered, in terms of quantity and correctness of the enclosed documents and certificates of conformity. Notify Management of any discrepancies prior to accepting the shipment

2) Verify all documentation for incoming and outgoing materials is correct including shipping documentation, bills of lading etc.

3) Check incoming shipments for damage and notify management of any damage prior to accepting the shipment.

4) Ensure thorough and proper labeling to identify the raw materials, intermediate and final product in preparation for placement in the warehouse and shipping.

5) Advance production phases accordingly by using dedicated software and upload inventory data for raw materials and finished product.

6) Print shipping documents as required.

7) Load and unload carriers as required.

8) Prepare the goods ready for shipment in a timely manner (as received in the shipping area) and within the requested terms.

9) Verify that the goods produced comply with the customer’s request by checking customer orders, conformity of products, packaging, labeling and any specified customer requests.

10) Maintain a safe, clean work environment including shipping/receiving desk and surrounding storage areas, designated outbound shipping areas, loading docks and floor area.

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS DRUG SCREENING TO OPERATE FORKLIFT AND OTHER EQUIPMENT
