Job Description

Tl;dr: Tetrix is looking for an all-star full stack engineer to help us scale our existing features and tech infrastructure, and help us brainstorm and build expansions! We are looking for candidates who are independent, motivated and fast learners. Ideally, you should have 5+ years of full stack experience in Python and Javascript, and should consider yourself to be a 10x engineer. You should also champion best practices and be abreast of the latest developments in tech.

✨Overview

Tetrix is a fast-growing startup on a mission to empower institutional investors to confidently invest in alternative markets by providing them with the data and analytics they need to manage their investments (think Bloomberg, but for private markets). We have onboarded our initial clients and grew 3x quarter over quarter in Q4’2024. We are also backed with US$5M in capital from a stellar group of investors that include Innovation Endeavors, Eric Schmidt’s VC firm (ex-CEO of Google), and angels from Blackrock, CPPIB, SoftBank, Lending Club, and Plaid. This is a unique opportunity to join a talented and driven team that wants to build next-generation infrastructure in financial markets. In summary, we've got big dreams, a category-defining product, solid traction, and a cozy nest of funding to make it all happen.

🤷🏽️ Who we are

You would be joining an amazing group of individuals at Tetrix as employee #12. I am Naunidh (CTO), and this is my amazing co-founder Olivier (CEO). We met on the first day of school whilst pursuing our MBAs at Stanford and quickly hit it off when we realized that we shared a passion for financial markets; I from the perspective of a technologist who spent his entire career at JP Morgan Chase as a SWE and Tech Lead, and he from the perspective of an operator who worked as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs and then as a venture capitalist at the Softbank Vision Fund.

🤞🏽 Who you are

  • You’re a self-starter – someone who embodies a "roll up your sleeves" attitude and gets things done.
  • You learn and adapt quickly – someone who thinks of problems as puzzles and enjoys the challenge of overcoming them.
  • You’re customer-oriented – someone who dreams big on behalf of the customer and does whatever it takes to delight them.
  • You’re a team player – someone who loves the idea of building a fun and thriving company culture as much as building the product.
  • You’re a good communicator - you are open and transparent and can explain your technical magic to muggles (non-tech folks).
  • You’re battle-tested – we are ideally looking for folks with 5+ years of work experience in Python, with some of it being in an entrepreneurial setting. Bonus points if you are an open-source contributor.

💻  What you’ll do?

  • You’ll build – You’ll work on our core SaaS product, data pipelines, AI agents, telemetry infrastructure, and most likely, many other challenges. Regardless, you’ll be an essential member of the engineering team and build something interesting and valuable at all times. Our technology stack has many components, but at its core, it is built on Python and JavaScript.
  • You’ll brainstorm – We do not just want a “code monkey”. We want someone who will contribute to the vision of the product, debate our strategy/roadmap and help us collectively choose the best path.
  • You’ll work with clients – From pitching customers, to designing features, to soliciting feedback, you’ll do some non-engineering work. We believe in all-rounded team members.
  • You’ll champion best practices and guide others – As a B2B SaaS platform, our technology needs to be secure, robust and scalable. You’ll help set and maintain standards and mentor future team members.

🙌🏾 Why join us?

  • You’ll be rewarded. You’ll get a competitive base compensation package ($120k-$180k). You’ll also receive compelling incentives including an equity grant in the startup, vesting over 4 years.
  • You’ll make an impact. We are at an inflection point in the startup and you’ll be getting in at a critical time where what you work on will directly influence our overall success.
  • You’ll learn a ton. We are a high-performing and fast-moving team where everyone learns quickly and shares their thought-leadership.
  • You’ll be supported. Olivier and I are committed to making your time at Tetrix worth it, and we will support you in all your goals, work or otherwise, as best as we can.
  • You’ll have fun. Shipping is inherently fun, winning is even more fun, and when all else fails, we have plenty of fun in and out of the office.
  • You’ll enjoy perks. From unlimited vacation days to healthcare insurance, retirement savings plans, and a vibrant team culture, we’ve got you covered.
