Senior Accountant

Location : New York City

Job Type: Hybrid (1 day WFH)

Salary : $110,000-140,000/year + Bonus, depending on YoE

Client/Job Summary:

Our client is a prestigious wealth management firm with over $70B in AUM that is seeking a Senior Accountant within their Partner Services / Family Office division to join their team. You will have the opportunity to work directly under the Family Office Controller to manage the personal assets and direct investments that GP's are responsible for.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop improvements to financial reporting policies and procedures.
• Provide insights and analysis on financial performance to senior management and investors.
• Primary liaison for the Partner Services / Family Office "business"; includes internal time allocation, internal allocation of cost, scope of services, etc.
• Prepare monthly financials for each Partner, including detailed balance sheet/income statement and investment sub-ledgers. Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Perform cash and credit card reconciliations for partners personal assets and spending.
• Manage accounting software for the Family Office and record journal entries.
• Review tax returns prepared by outside providers; develop macro/micro tax strategies for Partners.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• CPA highly desired.
• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience from national accounting firm, or combination of experience within family office / UHNW firm and public accounting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
