An LA startup is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. In this Senior Accountant role, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for month-end close, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, journal entries, consolidations, and reporting. What do you need for this Senior Accountant role?

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Advanced Excel
• Inventory experience a plus
• CPA tracking ideal and active CPA is a plus

What will you do in this Senior Accountant role?

• Oversee and contribute to accurate and on-schedule monthly and annual financial close.
• Compile, analyze, and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting balance sheet documentation.
• Maintain day-to-day general ledger responsibilities.
• Analyze financial statements, identify fluctuations, and drive resolution of discrepancies.
• Support cost accounting functions such as inventory valuation, reconciliation, and operational analysis.
• Evaluate, document, and refine internal controls.
• Prepare audit support schedules and coordinate with external auditors.
• Maintain adherence to U.S. GAAP and internal policies.
• Provide oversight, coaching, and review of work.
