About American Spoon

In 1982, we began making preserves in our Northern Michigan storefront kitchen. After all these years, our skilled crew still prepares fruit by hand and cooks with care in small-batch copper kettles. We work directly with a dedicated group of Michigan farmers and foragers who grow and gather the unique varieties of fruit we love, prized over generations for unparalleled taste and character. Our small, family-owned company exists, to find, capture, and preserve flavors you simply won’t find anywhere else. 

We are seeking individuals available to work 20-40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8 AM and 6 PM. Candidates must be comfortable standing for the duration of their shift and able to lift up to 50 pounds .

This is a fast-paced yet friendly environment, ideal for retirees, college students home for winter break, and anyone looking to get a head start on seasonal employment before ski season begins.

Seasonal Warehouse Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and pack American Spoon’s signature gift collections, including our artisanal preserves, jams, sauces, and more.
• Prepare products for shipment, ensuring they are safely packed in our holiday gift boxes.
• Maintain quality standards to ensure every gift sent out represents the best of American Spoon.

Requirements:

• Reliable transportation to our warehouse in Petoskey.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Flexible schedule, with a minimum availability of 20 hours per week.
