Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior IT Business Systems Analyst with deep expertise in HCM best practices, Benefits, Payroll and Time processes, to support our HR technology landscape. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of HR, IT, and business operations, translating complex business needs into scalable IT solutions. This role will lead to IT initiatives in HCM, Benefits, and Payroll space. It will require a strong background in HCM, benefits, and payroll and time processes, and an understanding of the integration between on-premises ERP systems and other cloud-based applications. This role will collaborate with HR, Benefits, Payroll, and IT teams to ensure accurate and efficient system operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle of HCM projects—from requirements gathering and process design to testing, deployment, and post-go-live support
  • Act as the IT- HCM SME and collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define and document business needs
  • Partner with developers to build integrations with other applications or third-party vendors
  • Lead testing efforts (unit, integration, UAT) and ensure business signoff
  • Create and maintain clear documentation (process flows, configuration guides, test scripts); assist HR teams with system-related issues and providing training to end-users
  • Identify process improvements and proactively recommend enhancements to system functionality
  • Support compliance, audits and year-end processing
  • Liaise directly with business areas to identify key requirements and initiate designs of applications independently, conferring with user groups to define business needs and potential solutions based on information technology
  • Be a key player in optimizing our HR technology landscape across multiple manufacturing sites

Education

  • Master’s or minimum a bachelor’s degree in computer science and/or Human Resources/ Business Administration or related field.
  • SAP/ Success Factors Certifications, PMP certifications are an added advantage

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Muse have a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a similar role
  • Must have experience in SAP landscape and implementation, upgrades, support and system upgrades in areas of Personnel Administration, Organizational Management and Benefits modules
  • Experience with designing and configuring SuccessFactors - Employee Central, Recruiting, and Performance & Goals is a huge advantage
  • Liaise directly with business areas to identify key requirements and initiate designs of applications, conferring with user groups to define business needs and potential solutions based on application capabilities
  • Ability to define systems requirements, design, and prototype business processes and test complex functionality; train others and work in a team environment
  • Good understanding of HR, benefits, and payroll process integrations, including experience supporting union environments, good understanding of California labor laws (meal/rest, split shifts, overtime, final pay, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of Benefits and payroll integration with Finance (posting to GL), and third-party providers (e.g., tax, garnishments, benefits)
  • Demonstrated understanding of Benefit plans and related configurations
  • Experience in designing and implementing Benefits interfaces with various Benefits providers. Participating in technical design discussions for interfaces
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strategic thinking and attention to detail
  • Strong documentation and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
  • Collaborative and customer-focused mindset
