Job Description

Position Summary

Prepare materials for portfolio construction decisions. Prepare portfolio characteristics and reports for Clients. Provide quantitative modeling and analysis, with the objective of improving investment outcomes for client portfolios.

Primary Responsibilities

- Prepare materials for and participate in regular meetings to make portfolio construction decisions.

- Provide quantitative analysis of portfolio risks, exposures and performance drivers.

- Prepare monthly and quarterly portfolio characteristics and data for Marketing Department.

- Collaborate with client-facing colleagues to develop solutions and to communicate portfolio construction concepts.

- Respond to requests from Marketing and Operations Departments.

- Document and communicate portfolio performance, investment options, risk exposures and pending decisions. Measure and identify risk reward tradeoff.

- Monitoring portfolio positions versus client guidelines and prepare required reports in concert with Compliance Team.

- Conduct quantitative research, development and implementation of quantitative models and techniques, to support and improve the Portfolio Construction process.

- Responding to ad hoc requests from the Portfolio Management team.

- Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.

- Coordinating with Portfolio Management on re-balancing of portfolios.

Required Education and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitatively oriented discipline such as Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Statistics.

- 2-4 years of relevant work experience.

- Strong understanding of capital markets and current knowledge of the state of the industry.

- Proficiency in Visual Basic, Excel advanced/power user and Python programming skills.

- Detail oriented with excellent written, communication and presentation skills.

- A ble to work independently and collaboratively, and intellectually curious.

- Proficient with common industry tools (e.g., Bloomberg).

Preferred Education and Experience

- Master’s degree in a relevant quantitative discipline such as Financial Engineering, Finance or Statistics with a passion for investing and financial markets.

- Strong grasp of interest rates and equity derivatives, with demonstrated expertise in Option Greeks.

- Ability to value and analyze options and convertible securities.

- Experience in data analysis and ability to work with varied data sets and sources.

- Understanding of statistics, optimization and numerical analysis.

- Prior experience communicating insights to internal and external stakeholders.

- CFA or progress toward obtaining CFA designation.

- Accounting/Corporate Finance knowledge a plus.
