Job Description

A warm, dynamic Greenwich family is seeking an experienced and proactive Personal Assistant / Family Assistant to support a senior C-suite executive at a leading hedge fund and his family. This is the family’s first purely Personal Assistant , and they are deeply committed to finding the right long-term match — someone capable, kind, and emotionally intelligent, who will bring calm, order, and initiative to their busy household. The role reports directly to the Principal who is a thoughtful, clear, and collaborative communicator who values partnership and genuinely invests in his PA’s success. His EA's in the NYC office say he is known for his warmth, empathy, and the ability to make people feel seen and heard.

Location:

2-3 days a week based in the Principal's Greenwich office where you will have your own office and the family home which is just 10 mins drive away - the rest is work from home.

Responsibilities

Family & Household Flow

  • Set up a centralized calendar for both Principals
  • Coordinate school calendars, appointments, and extracurricular activities.
  • 4 children - 17, 14, 12 and 9 years old (and a new puppy for good measure!).
  • Liaise with the nanny and housekeeper to maintain smooth daily operations.
  • Manage household vendors, maintenance, and seasonal property needs (pool, repairs, scheduling).
  • Oversee planning for the Greenwich and Montana homes, including travel coordination and winter-activity reservations.
  • Nurture relationships with local CT vendors and all concierges and staff that service the Yellowstone residence.
  • Assist with errands, grocery orders, and light household shopping.
  • Handle thoughtful extras — gifts, thank-you lists, and occasional puppy care.

Principal Support

  • You will have your own office in his Greenwich office space.
  • This is a hybrid situation where you will have your anchor in his office but will also visit the home in Greenwich when needed and WFH the rest of the time.
  • He spends 2 days a week in his NYC office
  • Manage multiple personal, professional, and board calendars; liaise with the Executive Assistant in NYC to prevent overlap (she is a delight).
  • Prepare concise weekly planners bridging digital and paper systems for both principals.
  • Coordinate travel and accommodations aligned with the family’s aesthetic and preferences.
  • Track priorities, ensure timely follow-through, and maintain calm order across projects.

Project Support (Mrs.)

  • Assist with philanthropic and school-board commitments, including research, meeting preparation, and light event coordination.
  • Provide intuitive, anticipatory support that complements her reflective and organised working style.
  • Work from the family home as needed on charitable and community projects.

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years solid employment as a permanent Personal Assistant or Family Assistant, in a private-household or principal-facing environment.
  • Highly organised multitasker with strong follow-through and impeccable attention to detail.
  • Warm, professional communicator with emotional intelligence and discretion.
  • Comfortable managing both digital and analogue systems (shared calendars + paper planners).
  • Tech-confident and skilled in light household administration.
  • Valid driver’s licence required.
  • Flexible, trustworthy, and adaptable to a fast-moving yet kind and family-oriented environment.

Pay range and compensation package

  • Base Salary: $130,000-$150,000
  • Bonus: 10–20% performance-based
  • Health Benefits Provided
  • Hybrid Schedule: Greenwich office (primary base), family home (as needed), remainder remote
