Executive Summary: HRUCKUS is looking for a Paralegal and Legal Assistant with 2+ years of experience to join their client’s team. The selected candidate will work on-site at 28 Liberty Street, New York, NY 10005, within the Office of the Attorney General for the New York State Government.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys and legal staff with various tasks related to case preparation, legal research, and documentation.
  • Review, analyze, and organize legal, financial, and other related documents to ensure compliance with regulations and accuracy.
  • Draft, proofread, and edit legal correspondence, notices, memos, and other official documents.
  • Manage and maintain case files, records, and legal databases, ensuring all materials are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, and other departments to gather necessary information and documentation.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing reports.
  • Assist in preparing hearings, trials, and depositions by organizing and preparing necessary documents and exhibits.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and within established deadlines, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in the legal industry to provide informed support to the team.

Position Skills Required:

  • Experience working in a law firm, government agency, or office environment
  • Proficient in reviewing legal or financial documents
