Our client is seeking an experienced OSP Network Design Engineer for an exciting long-term contract opportunity in Phoenix, AZ. This person must sit in market or be able to relocate or be in market as needed at their own expense. This person must also possess OSP (Outside Plant) and fiber deployment project experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Network Design Engineer

Planning, design, and analysis of the outside plant facilities/network. Performs detailed review of high level designs, and low level design of feeder and distribution for major undertakings and /or routine activities.

• Provides detailed design for feeder and distribution facilities to meet major fiber build projects.
• Conducts job costing activities.
• Requires understanding of outside plant build, installation, and maintenance.
• Monitors expenditures to ensure incurred costs are within authorized levels.
• Investigates and supplements cost overruns.
• May be responsible for the coordination of construction budget and project management activities.
• May be responsible for right of way functions.
• Evaluates multiple factors to develop creative practical solutions.
• Guided by project and work deadlines; sets own priorities.
• Uses discretion to complete assignments.

Pay Range: $45 - $50/HR depending on experience. The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
