A client of Insight Global is looking for a skilled and licensed Journeyman HVAC Technician. Below is the job description and required skills and experience.

• HVAC Systems: Analyze, repair, and maintain HVAC installations, fire and boiler alarm systems, and surveillance control systems.
• Preventive Maintenance: Implement programs for motors, pumps, controls, compressors, heating and cooling systems, and related devices.
• Reporting: Compile reports on changes, costs, and justifications.
• Construction Review: Review construction work and maintain air distribution systems.
• Water Treatment: Add chemicals and analyze water treatment for chill water and heating systems.
• Auxiliary Systems: Plan and install auxiliary control systems and prepare systems for winter conditions.
• Calibration: Calibrate pipe and vent sizes; design and install sheet metal.
• Installation: Install and inspect thermostats, electrical wiring, furnaces, unit heaters, and cooling units.
• Emergency Equipment: Test and maintain emergency electrical equipment like generators and battery-operated lighting. Repairs: Repair switches, light fixtures, broken pipes, and leaks.
• Support: Assist other maintenance staff and respond to emergency call-backs.
• Additional Duties: Perform other assigned duties.

Required Experience:

• Charging, starting, and checking for proper operation of HVAC type equipment and related devices
• Troubleshooting and repairing digital electronic and pneumatic HVAC control systems
• Starting, stopping, and troubleshooting chiller operations and chilled water systems
• Modifying and/or installing natural gas and water piping
• Operating, maintaining, diagnosing problems, and repairing industrial type HVAC systems and control devices
• Welding and repairing material and brazing pipe
• Cutting, brazing, and soldering high-pressure refrigerant piping
• EPA universal certification for service technicians;
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Quality control analysis

Required Licensing:

• HVAC Journeyman Licensing
• Universal Refrigerant Licensing
