Job Description

Seeking an experienced Head of Model Review & Governance to lead the independent review, validation, and governance framework for pricing models used to value positions held across the firm’s investment portfolios. This role sits within the Portfolio Pricing and Valuations function and is critical to ensuring the accuracy, robustness, and integrity of valuation models that underpin portfolio management, risk reporting, and financial statements.

The successful candidate will partner closely with asset-class specialists, risk management, technology, and investment teams to establish rigorous model review standards, implement effective governance controls, and enhance testing methodologies across a broad range of instruments. This role offers the opportunity to lead a highly visible, firm-wide function within a sophisticated buy-side environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced degree or equivalent in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience with a strong focus on pricing models, model validation, model governance, or risk management in a buy-side or comparable financial environment.
• Advanced knowledge of derivatives products and their associated valuation methodologies and risks.
• Strong Python coding skills, with experience building tools and frameworks for model validation, testing, and analysis.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively as a team player, supporting cross-functional initiatives and shared objectives.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex quantitative concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience influencing senior stakeholders and governance bodies.

This role will sit ONSITE in either New York, NY or Miami, FL
