Job Summary

The Feedfeed is seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager with a strong focus on social content production to join our dynamic content team as an independent contractor. This role will work alongside our Account Director to oversee the production of both recipe-focused content and lifestyle content. You will manage all aspects of production from internal planning and scheduling to post-production, collaborating closely with our small creative team, the Account Director, and the Content Director to ensure that deliverables are met on time and to specification.

Please note that this position is strictly a 1099 independent contractor role. You will not be considered an employee of The Feedfeed, and no employment-related benefits will be provided. You are responsible for managing your own tax filings, insurance, and business expenses.

Compensation

Compensation for this position is $35 - $40 per hour, based on experience. This compensation rate is for a 1099 independent contractor. All payments will be made on a contractor basis, and you will receive a Form 1099 at year’s end. No taxes will be withheld by The Feedfeed, and no employee benefits are provided.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Build, manage, and track detailed timelines for all social content production projects.
  • Organize and plan shoots, working with the Account Director, Content Director, and content creators to coordinate logistics, resources, and schedules.
  • Ensure smooth execution of content production, ensuring all deadlines are met for shoots, edits, and content delivery.

Team Coordination:

  • Alongside the Account Director, organize and support a small content production team, providing guidance and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Oversee the coordination of content creators, social team, and other key personnel to ensure that the vision and timelines are successfully executed.
  • Work with the Account Director to source additional personnel for larger-scale content shoots (e.g., editors, videographers) as needed, based on creative vision.

Client Coordination & Deliverables:

  • Collaborate closely with the Account Director to manage client deliverables and expectations, ensuring client satisfaction with all produced content.
  • Attend client-facing shoots at the Downtown Los Angeles studio (1–2 per month) and manage on-set workflow, ensuring that all personnel have the necessary resources to execute content production in a timely manner.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact during client-facing shoots, ensuring clients receive the support and communication required throughout the production process.

Post-Production & Editing Management:

  • Oversee the editing schedule with content creators, ensuring all content is edited to specification and delivered on time.
  • Prepare materials for client reviews, ensuring that feedback is integrated into the final content.
  • Coordinate and manage content exports to meet platform specifications.

Proactive Problem Solving:

  • Anticipate potential issues and proactively provide solutions to ensure the production process runs smoothly.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with both internal teams and external clients.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably in a creative or content production environment.
  • Previous experience in food media or lifestyle content production is a plus, especially for recipe-focused and appliance lifestyle shoots.
  • Experience with building and managing social media content production timelines and handling multiple projects in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of maintaining positive relationships with clients, content creators, and internal team members across departments.
  • Ability to handle client interactions professionally and maintain composure, particularly on set during shoots.
  • Familiarity with the full content creation process, from pre-production through post-production.
  • Willingness to attend and actively manage shoots at our Downtown Los Angeles studio on a regular basis.
  • You have the flexibility to manage your own schedule and work methods as long as deliverables and deadlines are met. Nothing in this agreement shall be construed as creating an employer-employee relationship, partnership, or joint venture between you and The Feedfeed.
  • This position is an independent contractor role for a defined period of time. As a contractor, you remain free to provide similar services to other clients.
