Brief Unit Description: 25-bed Labor & Delivery Unit which encompasses: L&D, PP, NBN, 2 OR s, 2 ANU rooms, RR. Salem Hospital is a 400+ bed facility that has 220 Med Surg beds plus the ICU. 3. Years of Experience Required: 3 years minimum. 4. Skill Sets Required: Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Circulate, & Newborn Care. 5. Clinician to Patient Ratio: L&D 1:2-3 Evals, 1:1 Active Labor, Magnesium gtt or EPIDURAL. PP 1:3-4. 6. Patient Population: All. 7. Bed Count: 5 LD Rooms, 12 PP, 2 OR s, 2 RR, 2 ANU with 4 beds. 8. Census: Average daily census 15-25 mother, babies and labor. 9. EMR (Charting System): EPIC. 10. Floating Required: No. 11. Certifications Required: Active Massachusetts RN License. BLS, NRP & EFM (every 2 years). 12. Additional Information: ACLS (preferred).
