EI&C Project Engineer I

Contract Duration: Until 03/14/2026 (High Possibility of Extension)

Location: Jackson, MI (Open to other locations with occasional travel to Jackson for team meetings)

Work Schedule: Hybrid (2-3 days in office or field attendance)

Travel: Up to 3 hours from Jackson for project-related work

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EI&C) Project Engineer to join our team. This role involves working on gas-side electrical projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting construction efforts. The selected candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, and technicians to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide electrical engineering expertise on gas-side projects.
• Assist in the installation of instrumentation and remote terminal units in the field.
• Research, scope, and produce technical drawings (Design team will handle CAD work).
• Review and correct design drawings to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with project managers on various engineering tasks.
• Conduct site visits, particularly during the summer construction season, to support field operations.
• Collaborate with electricians, provide guidance, and ensure adherence to design plans.
• Offer field support during construction to resolve technical issues.
• Attend team meetings in Jackson as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (new graduates encouraged to apply).
• Preferred Experience: Industrial or SCADA background is desirable.
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative.
• Excellent communication skills with a proactive and self-starter mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
