Job Description

A global metals manufacturer is seeking an experienced EHS Manager at their site in Henderson, NV. Working closely with the local leadership team and with the help of a direct report, the incumbent will be responsible for managing the entire EHS programs at the facility, working to minimize safety risks, ensuring compliance with appropriate regulatory agencies, and implementing corporate initiatives.

Relocation package provided for non-local candidates.

The Role:

• Develop, manage, and implement appropriate health and safety procedures per federal, state, local, and corporate requirements.
• Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other safety assessments.
• Oversee the environmental compliance requirements for the site.
• Manage and perform activities to ensure compliance with the site Industrial Hygiene program.
• Participate in detailed incident investigation teams to determine root causes and corrective and preventive actions.

The Candidate:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related degree preferred.
• 10+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT Standards, and other industrial accepted safe work practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with employees at all levels.
