Job Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Auto Adjuster to join their team. This person will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving commercial auto claims efficiently and effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of insurance policies, liability assessment, and damage evaluation specific to commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate has a strong background in liability investigations, solid communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities include:

  • Handle a caseload of commercial auto claims from start to finish, including property damage and bodily injury
  • Investigate loss details through phone calls, written communication, and direct contact with insureds, claimants, witnesses, and attorneys
  • Determine liability through the review of police reports, statements, and scene documentation
  • Assess damages and negotiate settlements in accordance with company guidelines and applicable laws
  • Identify and refer suspected fraud for further investigation
  • Document claim files thoroughly and accurately throughout the claims lifecycle
  • Maintain accurate documentation and claim files in compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations affecting auto claims.

Requirements:

  • 1 to 3+ years of experience handling commercial auto claims, including some bodily injury exposure
  • Ability obtain Adjusters License
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze coverage and assess exposure effectively
  • Proficiency in using claims management systems

Salary/Benefits:

  • $65,000 to $85,000+ annual base salary, based on experience, plus annual bonus
