About the Job

The Clinical Nurse Liaison performs competency assessment-related activities for staff, domestic and international, for clinical position match and assignment success. Works collaboratively with departments across MedPro to achieve the organization’s strategic goals. This position reports directly to the Director of Clinical Services.

What You’ll Do

  • Conducts clinical assessments of international nurses and makes a recommendation for the appropriate specialty based on experience, skill level, scope of practice, and critical thinking skills.
  • Conduct mock interviews with international healthcare workers and provide feedback regarding professionalism, clinical experience, body language, and behavioral questions.
  • Provides clinical support to our healthcare workers while on assignment. Must be able to identify areas requiring additional training and education and provide remediation as required. Provides an educational review for healthcare workers that have been unsuccessful with competency exams.
  • Provide clinical support to clients by addressing concerns and providing coaching and resources to our healthcare workers on assignments to improve clinical skills.
  • Engage with facility representatives of our clients to provide clinical support for our healthcare workers to address concerns, facilitate communication, and to ensure that our staff have the necessary resources and guidance to provide high-quality care.
  • Conducts clinical interviews of domestic nurses and allied professionals for various specialties to identify Strong candidates and make recommendations for placement in specific assignments.
  • Investigates and reports practice concerns based upon the regulatory boards of health care personnel and intervenes as appropriate.
  • Contributes to performance evaluations of clinical staff.
  • Develop working knowledge of educational institutions and clinical facilities affiliated with international clinicians to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of staff members.
  • Provide clinical support for all Joint Commission-related activities and overall quality initiatives.
  • Deliver comprehensive training on various nursing specialties and provide essential resources to enhance understanding and support for nursing staff.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of Adult Acute Care experience (MUST be within the last 2 years).
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
  • Experience In ER or ICU, strongly preferred. Additional experience in float pool and/or other specialty areas is a plus.
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and experience in the care, treatment, and services offered by various units within the hospital.
  • Experience as a preceptor and/or clinical educator is strongly preferred.
  • Strong cardiac rhythm identification skills preferred.
  • Desire to teach and provide ongoing support to licensed nurses and other healthcare workers, as well as internal staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation

  • $85,000 + 10% Bonus
  • Weekly Pay
