Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Claims Manager to manage the investigation, evaluation, and resolution of general liability claims. This role requires strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and a customer-focused approach. Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of moderate to complex general liability claims from first notice to resolution.
• Conduct thorough investigations, including reviewing incident reports, interviewing involved parties, and gathering supporting documentation.
• Evaluate coverage, liability, and damages to determine appropriate claims resolution strategies.
• Communicate with claimants, policyholders, attorneys, vendors, and other parties in a professional and timely manner.
• Document claim activities and decisions accurately and comprehensively within the claims management system.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure timely and accurate claim handling.
• Monitor claims for potential litigation and coordinate with legal counsel as necessary.
• Stay current on industry regulations, case law, and best practices related to general liability claims.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in insurance, risk management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience managing general liability claims.
• Strong understanding of insurance policy language, legal liability concepts, and claim investigation techniques.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to handle a high-volume workload with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
