Job Description

The Rare Cancer Research Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to curing rare cancers through strategic investments and innovative collaborations that facilitate effective research and accelerate deployment of promising therapies. There are three core initiatives: ▪ Live Tissue Donation, Biobank & BioLogistics ▪ Open-source Data for Rare Cancer Models ▪ Genetic Sequencing and Translational Research RCRF’s mission is to help discover and provide therapies to rare cancer patients who currently have few effective therapeutics options.

We’re seeking an ambitious and driven individual who will be a critically important player at RCRF, shaping the strategic, operational, and external-facing facets of the organization. This includes working collaboratively with the RCRF Board and Executive Team to develop and own the business plan, scientific plan, strategy, budget, and more. You will help boil down complex issues into bite-size, easy-to-understand information from a scientific and business/financial perspective. Ultimately, you will be a key player in bringing critical therapies to rare cancer patients who otherwise have a scarcity of effective therapeutic options.

This role is great for driven individuals early in their career who would like to assess possible paths to COO, CSO, or CEO (and can be considered for those roles in the future at RCRF). This is a high growth position that will be working closely with the Board of Directors and RCRF Leadership Team to push the RCRF mission and vision. This opportunity is a great way to gain further exposure in the healthcare industry, particularly oncology, for those that are looking to transition from finance, consulting, or academia. Lastly, this role has large room for expansion, if you are motivated and want to gain experience in running an organization, this is the perfect opportunity to do so.
