Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Brand Manager is the primary person with the responsibility to develop the vision, goals, and merchandising strategy for select entertainment IP. This requires a strong understanding of the family, kids, and digital IP landscape. Includes building relationships and working closely with each client and developing the merchandising strategy across all channels. This will require that the Brand Manager has a deep understanding of the client and their customer base.

The Brand Manager oversees the strategy lifecycle for ecommerce, retail, and licensing, which includes:

  • Product development strategy
  • Annual activity planning
  • Product planning and development
  • Marketing activity
  • Performance review and financial planning revision
  • Liaise with department reps on annual budgeting

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Act as the day-to-day liaison between Global and the client.
  • Work across all sales channels to develop client budgets and sales targets.
  • Work closely with the SVP for the delivery and achievement of the budget and sales targets for each client.
  • Working with internal departments to deliver a high-level product and marketing strategy for each client.
  • Identifying key activities and themes for merchandise and product development based on a comprehensive understanding of the client and the customer.
  • Working with internal departments defining key initiatives and activity across key channels of Ecommerce, Retail and Licensing.
  • Responsible for the development, organization, and communication of cross departmental activity to client.
  • Ensure all Creative assets are timely delivered to Global and promptly notifying and sharing with all departments.
  • Holding minimum quarterly departmental reviews of the plans to evaluate performance both operationally and financially and adjusting the plan and activities accordingly.
  • Securing client commitment and approval across all strategy and campaigns including product development, samples, products, marketing, and advertising.
  • Ensure campaigns are coordinated across departments to gain maximum impact across all channels.
  • Ensure all client activity and news is effectively communicated across every team internally as well as self-monitoring IP activity.
  • A bullet-point high level per department per client, which can be shared both internally and externally, which provides the framework for the client activity for the current and upcoming year.
  • Campaign / activity documentation – All information relevant to the product development for internal and external review, approval and communication

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in Family, Kid or Digital Entertainment. Strong understanding of entertainment and pop culture landscape.
  • Familiarity and Processes: Understanding the lifecycle of brand building, licensing deals and product development.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency Microsoft Office, Google Workplace, PowerPoint and Mediabox.
  • Time Management: Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communications: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Plus: Pop Culture Enthusiast and a passion for digital IP. Youtube, Social Media, Kids/Teenager focused Content or Merch
