Job Description

Unleaded is looking for an Art Director with strong conceptual thinking, hands-on design skills, and a collaborative mindset. The ideal candidate is an exceptional designer with experience developing campaigns and partnering closely with copywriters to generate sharp, strategically grounded creative work. This role involves both concepting and design, and you’ll often work alongside another art director or designer to carry out the execution of a project. Strong communication skills are a must. You should be comfortable articulating your thinking, giving and receiving feedback, and working closely with teammates across departments. This role offers room to grow and develop based on your individual career goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide art direction for select projects in collaboration with designers and copywriters
• Contribute to concept development, design, and execution of marketing and branding assets as needed
• Help shape the visual direction of creative work, from high-level concepts to layout and final execution
• Give clear, actionable feedback to creative partners to help push the work forward
• Help clients establish and maintain brand standards across channels and media to find the right mix of consistency and originality
• Work in a collaborative team environment that includes not just other creatives, but also the mission-critical, cross-disciplinary pros it takes to create effective work, campaigns, and brands
• Ensure that you fully understand the client, their brand, and their audiences to create design solutions that deliver
• Help plan and direct photo and video shoots so that creative assets align with the concept and stay on brand

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience in art direction and/or graphic design
• Strong portfolio of work
• Strong preference for significant, demonstrable B2B client experience.
• Expert level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• High level of emotional intelligence
• Experience with concept development and brainstorming (must be able to talk through your thought process with examples or sketches)
• Solid communication skills, with the ability to articulate the value of your ideas and how they support client objectives and strategy
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, advertising, communication, or other visual arts discipline
