CES/AWS is looking for MIG Welders for our automotive manufacturing client in Toledo, OH
- Location: Toledo, OH
- Shift: 2nd shift, 6pm-2:30am/ 6pm-6am/Monday-Friday
- Temp to Hire
- Pay rate: $20 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our automotive manufacturing team. This position is responsible for performing welding tasks on production equipment and components, as well as supporting preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure continuous, safe, and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on automotive components, fixtures, and equipment as required
- Fabricate, repair, and maintain machine parts and assemblies to support production lines
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and inspections to minimize downtime
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for welding and maintenance tasks
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards, OSHA, and environmental guidelines
- Document maintenance activities and repairs in CMMS or maintenance logs
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred
- Proven experience in MIG welding within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- 3+ years of experience in maintenance, preferably in the automotive sector
- Working knowledge of PLC-driven equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and robotics is a plus
- Ability to operate welding and fabrication tools, along with hand and power tools
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals
- Must pass a welding and maintenance test screening
- Flexibility to work overtime and shifts as needed
