Position Summary

The Unit Coordintor supervises and manages the interventional level functions of the nursing unit necessary to provide patient care.  As part of the nursing leadership team, the UC ensures that direct care staff are supported and trained to provide excellent care.  The UC is the champion of the patient and staff experience, providing for a milieu in which patients and team members are treated with kindness, dignity and respect.  

Job Tasks/Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision, training, scheduling and support to the direct care staff.  
• Ensures consistent implementation of the program schedule.
• Models, teaches and monitors therapeutic boundaries.
• Works directly with patients as needed to maintain a safe, supportive treatment environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four (4) years of experience working with a psychiatric patient populations and previous MHT, psychiatric attendant, RBT, or equivalent.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license.  
• Ability to maintain a high level of leadership and therapuetic boundaries with patients and staff.
