Traveling Project Manager – Data Center Construction

Location: Nationwide Travel (Remote OK when not onsite)

Travel: 50%–75%, depending on project phase

Salary Range: $130,000–$170,000 base + project/performance bonuses + full benefits

About the Role:

We’re seeking a Traveling Project Manager to lead large-scale data center builds for one of the nation’s most innovative and respected builders in the mission-critical space. This role offers autonomy, technical challenge, and exposure to top-tier clients and fast-track projects.

What You'll Do:

• Manage all aspects of project delivery from precon to closeout on large data center jobs ($30M–$250M+)
• Work with owners, engineers, and subs to align budgets, schedules, scopes, and expectations
• Lead internal and external project meetings, ensuring alignment across teams
• Oversee RFI, submittal, change order, and cost tracking processes
• Partner closely with Superintendents and MEP Coordinators to deliver high-performance facilities
• Ensure schedule, cost, and quality metrics are met through proactive leadership

What We're Looking For:

• 5–10+ years in GC project management roles (data centers or MEP-heavy projects preferred)
• Experience running ground-up projects independently or in a leadership role on $50M+ jobs
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and contract negotiation skills
• Exceptional organizational and communication abilities
• Familiarity with Procore, CMiC, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, BIM 360
• Ability to travel to project sites nationwide on a rotating or extended basis
