Your mission: Should you choose to accept it… The Springs Resort & Spa is looking for a dedicated Pool Groundskeeper to maintain and enhance the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the pool areas and surrounding grounds. You will ensure that all outdoor areas, including pool decks, seating areas, and landscaping around the pools, are well-kept and visually appealing for guests. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for outdoor maintenance and landscaping, who can work independently to create a relaxing, clean, and enjoyable environment for resort guests.

Where you can make an impact:

• Maintain the cleanliness of the pool decks, seating areas, and surrounding grounds by sweeping, power-washing, and removing debris regularly.
• Clean and organize poolside furniture, umbrellas, and other amenities to ensure guest areas are tidy, comfortable, and functional.
• Ensure all trash and recycling bins are emptied frequently and maintained to resort standards.
• Perform routine inspections of pool grounds to identify and address any potential hazards or areas requiring attention.
• Assist with pool landscaping maintenance, including watering, weeding, trimming, and ensuring the overall health of plants and greenery around the pool areas.
• Maintain outdoor lighting and ensure proper functioning of poolside fixtures and equipment.
• Support pool maintenance by checking for proper drainage, cleaning poolside tiles, and ensuring water features (fountains, waterfalls, etc.) are functioning properly.
• Monitor the safety and cleanliness of walkways, railings, and entrances to pool areas, ensuring slip hazards or obstructions are addressed immediately.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining poolside events, including the arrangement of chairs, tables, and other outdoor equipment.
• Collaborate with the engineering and housekeeping teams to ensure timely and efficient resolution of any issues related to pool grounds.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs for poolside infrastructure, such as fences, decks, and walkways, to the appropriate teams.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service by assisting guests with any inquiries or needs regarding poolside seating or cleanliness.
• Participate in seasonal or special projects, such as the installation of holiday or event-specific decor in the pool areas.

Requirements:

What Sets You Apart:

Education/Formal Training:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

• Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance preferred.
• Experience working in a resort, hotel, or pool setting is a plus.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Knowledge of basic landscaping and grounds maintenance practices, including lawn care, plant upkeep, and minor outdoor repairs.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a clean and aesthetically pleasing environment.
• Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks, lifting, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Good communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of safe handling practices for tools and equipment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and evenings, based on the resort's operational needs.
• Must be able to travel to The Springs Resort & Spa.
