Job Description

LER TechForce is looking for a Test Lead.

The role is for an industry leader specializing in the design, manufacture, and application of innovative vehicle controls, displays, and telematics systems for on- and off-highway vehicle OEMs. The application development tools, and engineering services enable OEMs flexibility and easy configurability to create customized vehicle control systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop Comprehensive Test Strategies: Lead the creation and implementation of robust test strategies that align with production goals and labor efficiency. Specific aspects include accomplishing test coverage metrics across in-circuit test and end-of-line testing and efficient device programming methods that reduce manufacturing takt time.
  • Design and Develop Test Equipment: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of test equipment to support manufacturing processes. This includes active relationships and partnering with third party test and equipment houses.
  • Test Planning and Execution: Manage the planning, scheduling, and execution of tests to validate manufacturing processes and products. This includes partnering with the Company's contract manufacturers (CM's) to optimize test costs through the assembly chain.
  • Automation and Efficiency: Innovate and implement automated test systems to enhance efficiency and reduce manual labor.
  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Production, Procurement, Product Management, and Quality Assurance, to ensure the seamless integration of test solutions.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze test data and generate detailed reports to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test processes, methodologies, and equipment.
  • Compliance: Ensure all test strategies and equipment comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • BS Degree in Engineering or related Physical Sciences

Experience

  • Five or more years of Test Lead or similar role within a manufacturing environment

Skills

  • Proficiency employing test automation frameworks/tools, data analysis software, and manufacturing test equipment
  • Experience implementing production test solutions for complex electronics products, including telematics and displays
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles

The employee is regularly required to stand, and/or walk. On occasion the employee may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders.

The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust force. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

Working Environment

The position is primarily an office-based position with regular visits to the plant floor. The employee occasionally performs work-related travel.
