JOB DESCRIPTION
An ideal Supplier Quality Engineer for this role will be willing to travel 30-50% of the time to Suppliers, Progress Rail Locations, and Vendors in NC, IN, GA, KY, and occasionally Mexico. This role manages quality and development of custom prototype suppliers for rail manufacturing equipment.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-2+ years of experience with manufacturing and engineering quality assurance
-Experience with internal and external customers
-Experience with Manufacturing and production processes and principles such as PFC, PPAP, FMEA, SPC.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Six Sigma/Lean knowledge or certifications
