About the HMVAs

The Hollywood Music Video Awards is an annual international festival and award show held in Los Angeles, California that celebrates the art of music videos.

We bring together a global community of creatives — from directors to cast and crew — to showcase cinematic music video work, build connections, and spotlight emerging talent.

Our mission is to honor the creators behind the curtain — today’s innovative, unsung heroes who exceed expectations and push creative boundaries.

With over 40 award categories , we recognize excellence in nearly every aspect of music video creation. Some of our awards include Best Cinematography, Best Editing, and Best Art Direction , as well as unique accolades such as Assistant Director of the Year, Best Concept, and Best Shot on iPhone .

We aim to highlight quality, authenticity, and inclusivity at every level .

The Hollywood Music Video Awards (HMVAs) is seeking passionate interns to help prepare for our 2025 award season.

Summary of the Role

Interns will gain hands-on experience in:

• Live event production & coordination
• Video production support
• Social media marketing & digital strategy
• Design and motion graphics

This internship is on-site only , based in Los Angeles, CA , and ideal for candidates who are looking for immersive, real-world experience in entertainment, events, or creative media.

Internship Roles Available

We are hiring across the following areas:

• Live Events & Coordination Intern
• Production & Creative Intern
• Marketing & Social Media Intern
• Graphic Design / Motion Design Intern

Interns will collaborate directly with producers, creatives, and coordinators as we plan upcoming HMVAs productions and promotions. Duties vary by role but will be tailored to your strengths and goals.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Strong communication and time management skills
• Comfort working in creative and collaborative environments
• Proficiency or interest in social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok) and design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut, etc.) — role dependent
• Interest in live events, entertainment, video, marketing, or visual design
• Must be based in Los Angeles and available for on-site duties throughout the internship
• Valid driver's license (if you cannot drive, please ensure you have adequate transport to/from office space)
• 0–1 years of experience in an internship role
• Open to current students or recent graduates (school credit available if needed)
