SR. NETWORK ENGINEER

Position Overview:

As a member of the Network Engineering team, you will be responsible for implementing and administering critical technology systems that support Extron. You will manage and expand our global network, assist the team in promptly resolving complex technical issues, and deliver top-tier service support across the company. Your responsibilities will include configuring and evaluating high-bandwidth network switches and routers for audio/video (AV) applications, validating the performance of network switches and routers, and aiding in the development of automated test environments. This will involve using scripting languages to create self-checking test cases and reports to validate tests.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 7+ years of experience in Cisco-based Enterprise environments, Data Center Infrastructures, and Security Infrastructures.
• CCNP certification required.
• Strong knowledge in designing, installing, configuring, and supporting the following:
• Cisco Routing and Switching Technologies
• BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VRF, VLAN, TACACS, RADIUS , 802.1x
• Cisco Nexus 9000, Cisco Catalyst 8200,8300,9300, Cisco ISR 4300, Cisco ASR 1000
• Cisco Security Centric solutions & Next Gen Firewalls (NGFW)
• Cisco SDWAN
• Cisco ISE (Identity Service Engine)
• Cisco MDS - FC SAN zoning
• Network Automation (Ansible, Puppet, NetBrain, SolarWinds Config Manager)
• WAN Technologies (point to point, MPLS, VPN, DMVPN, GRE)
• Traffic Management (CoS/QoS with emphasis on Voice over IP and video technologies)
• Network Management Solutions (SolarWinds, PRTG, Cisco DNAC, Syslog)
• Wireless Technologies (Controller, Light weight AP)
• Virtualization Hypervisors
• Azure, AWS cloud services
• Experience with multicast protocols: IGMP, PIM SSM, MSDP.
• Experience with network security protocols such as: TLS/SSL, IPsec.
• Experience with Network Troubleshooting/Analysis Tools.
• Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, and high availability.
• Proficient in meeting deadlines, managing time effectively, and handling multiple issues and projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in creating technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and strong computer knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment.
• Experience in using a ticketing system.

Salary Range: $130,000 to $145,000. Pay may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
