SR. DIAGNOSTIC ULTRASOUND SONOGRAPHER

San Francisco, California, United States
165-200K + Paid Relocation + Signing Bonus + Full Benefits

Must have flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate to other sites and work shifts (8, 10 or 12 hour), also cove for weekends and holidays and on-call shifts. This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all Medical Center locations and variable shifts per department needs.

Perform diagnostic sonograms to demonstrate anatomy and pathology for interpretation:

  • Obtain appropriate patient clinical information from requesting physician and/or service prior to performing exam.
  • Prepare patient for imaging.
  • Prepare room and equipment prior to imaging and after completion of exam.
  • Demonstrate appropriate self-critique of exams to include ability to recognize sub-optimal techniques and equipment malfunctions.
  • Meet physical requirements to perform all aspects of diagnostic sonography studies in the inpatient as well as outpatient settings, including but not limited to: performing portable exams, transferring and transporting gurney and wheelchair
  • Maintain RDMS credential(s) according to the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography's criteria.

These positions must be flexibility to orient and work at all Medical Center locations and variable shifts per department needs.

  • Graduate of a formal accredited ultrasound training program in an approved school
  • Must have flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays and on-call shifts. This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all Medical Center locations and variable shifts per department needs.
  • Requires ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and OB/Gyn specialties at minimum.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support.
  • Requires (2-5) years experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, and or equivalent experience in a similar Ultrasound department. OR New hires who meet criteria of equivalent experience and credentials held must also have equivalent Senior Sonographer skills; the Senior Diagnostic Medical Sonographer title may be granted at the discretion of the Section Chief and Section Supervisor.
  • Maintain ARDMS credential(s) according to the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography's criteria

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Require ARDMS in Abdominal and OB/GYN Sonography.
  • Requires previous ultrasound experience
  • BLS Certification
  • Graduated from a CAHEEP accredited ultrasound program?
  • Requires (2-5) years experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, and or equivalent exp
  • Flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays.

PREFERRED

  • Pediatrics experience
  • hospital experience?
  • Ultrasound experience in OB exp, thyroid, transplant kidney liver.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $165,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
