Job Description

QAT Global, with over 30 years of IT Consulting success, is seeking a Senior Mainframe COBOL/Assembler Programmer Analyst. As a Senior Developer/Tech Lead you will support, maintain, and enhance our partner client’s legacy mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in COBOL and Assembler, along with experience in mainframe environments such as z/OS and JCL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, code, test, and implement mainframe solutions using COBOL and Assembler.
• Maintain and enhance existing legacy applications based on business and technical requirements.
• Work with Programmer Analyst peers, including remote, offshore team members.
• Work with business analysts, QA testers, and project managers.

Qualifications:

• Ability to be onsite and work in Downtown Omaha.
• 7-10+ years of experience in COBOL programming and IBM Assembler.
• Strong knowledge of JCL, TSO/ISPF, VSAM, and z/OS mainframe environments.
• Experience with CICS and DB2.
• Strong analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead small offshore team members.
