Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Location: Lancaster School District

Assignment Length: ASAP – June 5, 2025

Shift: 8:00 AM – 3:15 PM

Grade Level: Middle School

Job Description:

Lancaster School District is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. This role involves providing specialized instruction and support to middle school students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will create a positive and inclusive learning environment while ensuring compliance with IEP goals and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
  • Adapt instructional methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to enhance student success.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation on student performance and compliance requirements.
  • Create a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Provide behavior management and intervention strategies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations related to special education.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid Special Education Teaching Credential (State of California).
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certification .
  • Recent TB test .
  • Fingerprinting and Live Scan clearance required before the start date.
  • Experience working with middle school students with disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
