Insight Global is looking for a Programming Engineer (Jr-Mid Level) for an extended contract opportunity for a large electric utility company. Primary responsibilities of this individual will include programming & configuring SEL (Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories) relays to ensure the optimal performance of our distribution automation systems. Responsibilities include developing and implementing relay settings and logic schemes to enhance system reliability and performance, conducting tests and commission of SEL relays, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to replay programming and operation, and collaborating with engineers and field technicians to ensure seamless integration of relays into the distribution network. This role will join the distribution automation team in the centralized engineering line of business and the ideal candidate will have previous experience working in protection and control. This role will be working with Powerbase and building out scripts, general knowledge of basic databases will be incredibly helpful. This individual must be comfortable working on a field schedule and have general flexibility to accommodate the needs of the field crews.
