About your role:

At Fiserv, we are dedicated to transforming financial services technology to benefit our clients. We are seeking a proactive and technically adept IT Manager to lead and support our high-performing software engineering team. This role is critical in ensuring timely delivery of projects, resolving technical blockers, and aligning team priorities with business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java technologies, microservices architecture, and modern front-end frameworks, along with proven leadership and project management skills.

What you'll do:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

• Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes.

• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.

Experience you'll need to have:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Java, Spring Boot, Microservices
  • Event-driven architecture
  • Front-end frameworks: Angular and React
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Experience that would be great to have:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Certification in Agile, Scrum, or Project Management (e.g., PMP, CSM).

• Experience in the financial services industry
