Key Responsibilities:

Provide accurate and high-quality sign language interpretation for students in various educational settings, ensuring clear communication between all parties.
Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students to ensure that all instructional materials and class discussions are fully accessible.
Adapt to different classroom environments and interpret for a wide range of educational needs, including both academic and non-academic content.
Support students' learning by bridging communication gaps and ensuring an inclusive, supportive atmosphere for all participants.

Qualifications:

A minimum score of 4.0 on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) along with a passing score on the written exam.
At least 6 months of professional interpreting experience in educational settings, preferably in K-12 or higher education.
Previous experience with virtual interpreting is highly preferred.
Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to inclusivity and accessibility for all students.
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a virtual environment.
