ESSENTIAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE: 

30 days and ongoing:

  • Learns Puget Systems’ services, processes, procedures, purpose, customers, and position in the industry.
  • Attends new hire orientation and engages with meet-and-greets with all departments, acquiring knowledge about individual roles, understanding the organizational culture, workflow dynamics, and overall business operations, and establishing initial connections for relationship-building.
  • Completes prerequisite training for new hires through the Learning Management System (LMS). 
  • Displays familiarity with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the department. 
  • Learns and has a basic understanding of our Order Interface. 
  • Learns to review and generate quotes.
  • Begins learning to process various orders, including purchase orders, credit cards, checks, and ACH or WIRE payment orders.
  • Acquires skills in phone etiquette.
  • Gains proficiency in scheduling Zoom or virtual meetings.
  • Attend regular team meetings.
  • Shadows each consultant, gaining insights into various techniques, tips, and tricks used in the role.
  • Engages in a 30-day check-in with the Sales Manager, the People and Culture Manager, and the President to discuss progress, address concerns, and align goals. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

45 days and ongoing:

  • Completes new hire training.
  • Begin to field storage and server quotes
  • Regular meet with Storage and Server Business Development Manager

60 days and ongoing:

  • Demonstrates independence with emails, and reviews are no longer required. 
  • Primary field storage and server quotes
  • Act as a consultant to the Sales team for any storage and server questions.

3 months and ongoing:

  • Engages in progression discussions with Sales Manager
  • Handles and processes various order types Begins to process priority build orders, tax-exempt orders, Ariba orders, freight orders, and partial payment orders.
  • Gains understanding of the net terms onboarding process.
  • Acquires the skill to handle email requests or HubSpot inquiries for quotes from unregistered customers.
  • Learns the skill of creating HubSpot templates and snippets.
  • Learns how to merge HubSpot contacts and becomes proficient in logging calls. 
  • Move orders to new accounts within our order interface.
  • Learns to move deals through deal stages within Hubspot.
  • Learns to merge Dialpad contacts.
  • Knows who to go to for guidance when faced with unknown answers.

6-12 months and ongoing:

  • Demonstrates self-reliance and the ability to work independently, effectively managing tasks and responsibilities without constant supervision or direction.
  • Participates in sales meetings to address change requests, discuss sales goals, and engage in conversations about trending topics.
  • Contributes to monthly team meetings, participating in the review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and engaging in discussions about additions or removals.
  • Is providing backup support to fellow consultants, showcasing a willingness to contribute beyond individual responsibilities based on comfort and proficiency levels.
  • Initiates and leads special projects driven by personal interests or organizational needs. 
  • Participates in meetings to review progression sheets, collaboratively determine goals, and maintain constant ongoing conversations with the Direct Manager for continuous feedback and development discussions.
  • Independently creates HubSpot templates and snippets.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in moving deals through deal stages.
  • Proficiently utilizes sequences in HubSpot for effective communication.
  • Is resourceful at problem-solving and knows where to find answers and who to consult.
  • Manages and addresses a fair share of inquiries and calls, averaging 3-4 daily.
  • Conducts reviews of call logs and order details, demonstrating proficiency in addressing pertinent topics and providing prompt responses to customer inquiries.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in processing orders.
  • Is successfully conducting customer follow-up communications within a day and notes are properly updated.
  • Is a fully contributing Server & Storage Sales Representative, demonstrating proficiency in the role with minimal oversight and operating with little to no limitations.
  • Is a trusted and respected member of the team.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • CRM experience (particularly with HubSpot) preferred
  • Familiar with standard shipping methods via UPS and FedEx as well as freight shipping a plus
  • Bilingual (Spanish, French, etc.) a plus
  • Technical knowledge and expertise in the following areas highly preferred:
  • Enterprise Server & Storage Solutions – Knowledge of servers (rack, tower, blade, hyper-converged) and storage systems (SAN, NAS, DAS, cloud-based storage).
  • Hardware & Software Expertise – Understanding of major brands (e.g., Dell, HPE, Supermicro, ASUS, Mitac, etc).
  • Cloud & Virtualization – Knowledge and understanding of hybrid cloud, on-premise solutions, and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix).
  • Networking & Data Centers – Familiarity with data center infrastructure, networking, security, and redundancy best practices.
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery – Knowledge of backup solutions, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Enterprise Sales Experience – Proven ability to sell to mid-sized and large enterprises, including C-level executives.
  • Solution Selling & Consultative Sales – Expertise in identifying customer pain points and tailoring solutions accordingly.
  • Account Management & Growth – Experience managing existing accounts while expanding business opportunities.
  • RFP & Proposal Development – Strong ability to respond to RFPs, create proposals, and conduct presentations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work from home or office required
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working at a computer

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS INCLUDE:

  • The compensation range for this position is $28 - $39 per hour, based on skillset and experience level
