Senior Accountant - Real Estate

About Company as a Senior Accountant

• Our client is a full-service Real Estate Acquisition Management firm, specializing in the management of multi-family properties within the 5 boroughs of New York City.
• They have owned and managed more than 7,500 units of rental housing over the last 28 years.
• The staff has managed thousands of rental units, all with the same care, vigilance, and hands-on attention that have proven successful with our own portfolio of buildings.
• Looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant
• The ideal candidate is a team player with good communication skills and able to handle multiple priorities within established deadlines.
• This position reports to the Controller.

Job Responsibilities as a Senior Accountant:

• Assist with Month-end Close.
• Monthly Bank Reconciliations
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries
• Assist in year-end audits including analysis based on auditors' queries
• Set-up Financial Statement Packages
• Prepare Union Benefits Payments

Qualifications of the Senior Accountant

• Approximately 3-5+ years of Accounting experience with a Degree in Accounting
• Working knowledge of MRI
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
