The Role

The company is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and scale its healthcare data infrastructure. This is a generalist role focused on ETL pipeline development, healthcare data integration, and automation. The role will be instrumental in standardizing data ingestion across health systems while integrating with platforms like Epic and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and scale ETL pipelines for healthcare data ingestion.
• Work with FHIR & HL7v2 data standards to integrate health system data.
• Automate workflows and ensure seamless integration with Epic and other EHR systems.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions to scale deployments.
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams (though deep AI expertise is not required).

Requirements

• 4+ years working with healthcare data.
• Strong Python development experience.
• Expertise in FHIR & HL7v2 healthcare data standards.
• Cloud experience (Azure preferred, but GCP/AWS also considered).
• Experience with Snowflake & Databricks is a plus.
• Proven ability to scale ETL pipelines in production.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.
• AI/ML exposure is beneficial, particularly in a data engineering context.
