Senior Consultant – Oracle Planning (EPBCS)

Our technology practice delivers digital solutions to support strategic finance initiatives. We help finance leaders implement process improvements and drive value creation through CPM, ERP, analytics, automation, data integration, and reporting.

We specialize in implementing and enhancing Oracle Planning (EPBCS/PBCS) to optimize financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Our services include system implementation, process optimization, integration, and technical enhancements.

This role follows a hybrid work model with up to two remote days per week. Candidates should ideally be local to their chosen office.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Consultant – Oracle Planning , you will design and implement Oracle Planning solutions to enhance financial consolidation, budgeting, and reporting processes. Your role will involve system configuration, automation, integration, and performance optimization.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement Oracle Planning solutions aligned with client needs.
  • Configure data models, business rules, dashboards, and workflow automation.
  • Integrate Oracle Planning with ERP and reporting platforms.
  • Optimize system performance and improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Provide user training and technical documentation.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling.

Example Client Engagements:

Budgeting & Forecasting Automation: Support a company’s shift from manual forecasting to an automated Oracle Planning system by:

  • Evaluating current budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Setting up Oracle Planning for automated budget consolidation, driver-based forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Providing training on best practices for financial planning.

System Optimization & Performance Enhancement: Enhance the efficiency of an existing Oracle Planning model by:

  • Conducting a system review to identify areas for improvement.
  • Refining data models, business rules, and reporting templates.
  • Streamlining workflows through automation to minimize manual tasks and improve accuracy.

ERP & Reporting Integration: Establish seamless connectivity between Oracle Planning and ERP systems by:

  • Identifying integration needs and mapping data requirements.
  • Partnering with IT teams to implement automated data transfers.
  • Running thorough testing to validate data consistency and accuracy.

Travel to client sites as needed.

Ideally, You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Oracle Planning consulting or as an end-user.
  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in configuring Oracle Planning (EPBCS/PBCS), Smart View, Calculation Manager, and Data Management (FDMEE/DM).
  • Experience integrating Oracle Planning with ERP and reporting tools (e.g., Oracle Cloud ERP, SAP, Workday, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to deliver Oracle Planning implementations on schedule and within budget.

Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., EPM Automate, REST APIs) is a plus.
